In DL.; any choanosomal, more or less irregular megasclere of DL. that is articulated (rarely unarticulated) with other spicules of the same type; d. may be anaxial, polyaxial, monaxial, or tetraxial and include e.g., astro-, dicrano‐, dendro-, rhizo‐, sphaero‐, mega‐, tetraclone.
