Kyphorhabd

Definition

A thick, monaxial, curved spicule with inner side concave and weakly sculptured or smooth; outer side is convex and regularly covered with semi‐annular ridges; articulation weak at the tips (e.g., Jurassic D. genus Helminthophyllum); used only for fossil spicules.
