Definition

In H.; a monaxon with finely pointed outer end, and the opposite one rounded with one to several spines; the shaft is covered by small spines which are directed towards the rounded outer end; compare with uncinate and ambuncinate (e.g., Hyalonema [Hemiuncinata] comanchei).
