In D.; any aster microsclere (e.g., plesiaster or spiraster) with rays proceeding from usually spiral axis (e.g., genus Thenea); in some pachastrellids (e.g., Pachastrella nodulosa); s. are long rhabd‐like; compare with amphiaster.
